ప్రధాన మంత్రి ఉపాధి కల్పనా పధకం
(PMEGP - Prime Minister's Employment Guarantee Program)
The Prime Minister's Employment Guarantee Program (PMEGP) is an initiative of the Government of India to assist unemployed youth in starting their own business. PMEGP offers credit-linked subsidy, margin money and other incentives to entrepreneurs in the form of loans up to Rs. 25 lakhs. The objective of the program is to create self-employment opportunities and promote entrepreneurship among the youth. The program also provides training and awareness programs on entrepreneurship to budding entrepreneurs. The program has helped many aspiring entrepreneurs in setting up successful businesses across the country.
Guidelines of the Scheme

To become eligible for the scheme, applicants must be at least 18 years of age and the proposed project must be located in India.

Applicants must be at least an 8th standard pass and must not have any other means of income.

They must also not be receiving any other central or state government benefit.

Additionally, applicants must provide proof of ownership of the land or building proposed for the project.

The scheme also provides financial assistance for a range of sectors, including manufacturing and services.
